11/19/2023 0 Comments Universe sandbox achievements![]() ![]() And THAT achievement would be one that I could be proud of. But at least I have a REASONABLE chance to get it, that isn't going to cost me in real life. That's a hard achievement, and I don't have it. You don't see me complaining about the "Wedding Crasher" achievement in L4D2. There's nothing wrong with that, and it wan't part of my argument. That's a large part of the fun for me, because it adds extra challenge and strategy. Do I like to get 100% completion on my games? Certainly. No game should require you to make that decision.įurthermore, my completion rate is just fine without the Universe Sandbox achievements. The only hard part is making the decision to blow unnecessary money on parts and hydro. I could set it up to run on a cheaper, disposable PC but why should I pay for the hydro. But I value my PC and don't want to run it hard like that. My PC is powerful enough to run the game in the background with very little effect to other games. Those excuses are irrelevant to the robbery you wish to commit against those gamers. In what universe would it be fair to reach into their Steam profiles and yank out that achievement?ĭon't bore me with tears about it being too hard or it messing up your completion rate. They paid their dues and earned their reward. They jumped through the hoops and did what was required, however distasteful that is to you. Why are you pushing this nonsense? More than a few people earned this one year achievement. Listen, Mirm, you sound like a reasonable and intelligent person. And it would take a rare achievement slot from an achievement that was actually thought out and implemented by the developer, not just thrown in for the sake of having achievements in his game. This achievement wouldn't even provide that. If I'm proud of my rare achievements, it because I earned them as a gamer. It will not have encouraged me to play the game more, or provided any extra challenge to the experience. ![]() Even if I get it, I won't be proud of it. But at the expense of what? My videocard? My hydro bill? Just to get an achievement that essentially means nothing because it didn't require any skill to get. Of course I could get the year-long achievement, by just leaving the game running. Leaving a game running in the background has nothing to do with skill, luck, or talent. The rest is fluff, excuses, and nonsense.Įscrito originalmente por Mirm:If you can't get Artilleryman, it has to do with your gaming abilities, that's on you. Your comment boils down to this."I can't get it so nobody should have it" But I could get it again this week if I needed to. Probably because Tomb Raider multiplayer is so glitchy, and turrets are a terrible strategy. I have no idea why so few people have it. The fact that you consider that a possibility is ridiculous, or you don't consider it a possibility and just failed to understand my comment.Īrtilleryman is 'kill 20 people with a turret'. He did not sit at his computer for 12 hours a day for 2 years playing universe sandbox. He did it by leaving the game on all the time, at best. Clearly it was a mistake to include in the game and it must be removed at once. Perhaps we should start petitioning the Tomb Raider dev to take away your Artilleryman achievement since only 0.35% of the players have earned it. So what? That person earned it yet you want to take it away because "it's too hard." If you know how that person did it, then why haven't you done the same? Instead of subjecting us to this incessant whining, go out and get the achievement since you apparently know how it was done. ![]() His was just the more time-consuming workaround. He used a workaround just like the others. Escrito originalmente por Mirm:It's not like he actually played the game for 8700 hours.
